History, Politics, and a Rainbow Mug

Today is the first day of Spring Break at Randolph College.  With some surprisingly seasonally appropriate coolness outside, I’ve decided to give my morning and early afternoon to outlining a new short story set in the world of WITHOUT LIGHT.

The action of WITHOUT LIGHT starts in the year 2266.  In this short story, I will be turning back the clock to 2112 in order to explore some of the historical and political conditions of possibility for the future New England introduced in the Independence Cycle.

I’d love to share, but I plan to submit the story (currently untitled) to Fiyah Literary Magazine for their “Sundown Towns” issue. Stay tuned though! I will be  sharing some new content in anticipation of the release of Independence Cycle | Part 2 on April 15th.
